Air mattress

Were have a new to us motorhome with air mattress in the sofa bed. Used it this week-end and mattress would not hold air.
Do we buy a new air mattress, or do any of you have ideas as to what is wrong.

If we buy another one, can we just buy a regular one like we see in stores?

Thanks for any help or ideas you can give us.

  • once you fill it, you must snap the cap back in place. We made that mistake a few times. Also it could have developed a leak. You can purchase a bladder or a new mattress. I believe the brand is Air Dream. Try this: http://www.rvmattressbargains.com/air-dream-replacement-air-chamber/?utm_medium=cpc&gclid=CLSfm5fd4LkCFdGd4Aod8EAAkg
  • Thanks. We thought about not leaving it in the sofa when we fold the sofa up.
Seems like that would be a problem.
  • Leak....either from a seam, a hole or fill valve
They make patch kits for air mattresses.

OR buy another air mattress....just check/measure size of one you have.

When we had a sofa bed that used an air mattress we always deflated, rolled it up and stored separate vs folding back up in sofa. Scared of it getting pinched/torn when folding bed frame.
