airbag dump valve

I have a 2000 Harney with the 4 airbag system. There is no dump vavle to dump the airbags from the cab. I would like to add one and was hoping someone on here could give me some feedback and maybe instructions on how to do it and what parts are needed.
Thanks in advance!

  • I have the RVA leveling system and it also operates my front slide. In 13 years the system has worked great. Would just like to be able to dump the airbags from inside before I level the coach.
    Thanks for all the input.

Have you used the power leveling sys without dumping the air 1st to see if the leveling sys dumps the air too? On most systems this is the way they work. The auto leveling will 1st dump the air and then level the MH

That's how our HWH levelers work; automatically dump the air when switched on.

Fogot to add I have a hydraulic leveling system and there is no connection between the two. I bought this coach new and have always just used the drain valves. Been thinking of doing this for along time and am getting started.
    Thanks again

    Busyguy,
Wow, learn something everyday. I had no idea that a coach with a hydraulic leveling system would come without any form of dumping the bags from the inside. This would be an interesting project. Just some ideas here. Maybe if I were you, I'd maybe take a cruise on down to the local Truck repair center and have a chat with one of the techs that knows air systems really well. They'll have the expertise to tell you what valves are needed, check valves, release buttons, and more. I think they could lead you to a complete "dump" system without too much trouble. Just a thought here. Good luck.

The only way to get the air out of my airbags is to open the drain valves on the outside where my air hose hookup is. The only other air valve is for the airbrake on the transmission, I have hydraulic brakes so air is only for the 4 air bags and park brake.
    Thanks for your responce

  • busyguy,
Just wondering, you say there's no dump valve on the inside of the coach, well then, where is it? If it's on the outside, I'm kind of curious as to your leveling system. That is if you have one. If you do, where are the controls for it? Typically the two (dump and leveling system controls) are fairly close together.

But, I'm presupposing you've looked around pretty good on the inside of the coach for it or, you wouldn't be asking.

  • Do you have HWH jacks or Powergear jacks? Some OEM's used the dump feature of the jack system to dump the air bags. Doug
