My point of this is, with Newmar, at least, the choices we are talking about here are clearly "market driven". I suspect this is the case with other manufacturers also.

This is why Newmar has LOST market share. They started the Option/Standard deal about 12 years ago. They then priced a lot of their motorhomes out of the reach versus comparable motorhomes. Once you make all the bells and whistles standard, you lose some of the buyers. Doug
