What JAYCO has done is mirror FORD's Load/Pressure numbers for maximum Axle Load and the 225/75R16E standard tire. Back when E450 front axle GAWR was 4600#, the tire pressure spec was 65# Front.
This Michelin Chart shows Load per Single Tire as 2335# at 65PSI for 4670# of tire capacity on a 4600# rated axle. Then FORD went to 5000# front axle rating. The nearest round number for inflation that didn't fall UNDER axle capacity is 75PSI for 2560# per single tire or 5120# tire capacity on a 5000# rated axle.
Note on the chart how the Dual application reduces the tire's load rating somewhat. That's why we often see full sidewall pressure 80PSI on the rear based on load. Note too, that Michelin Chart shows Dual Loads as Per Pair. The "truck" version of the chart is by AXLE. The RV version I linked is by CORNER. They're trying to tell us to get Four Corner Weights since they've noticed RV's are often unequally loaded side-to-side. Tire pressures should be set equally across an axle to the highest required number. For example, if Left calls for 70PSI and Right calls for 65PSI, BOTH should be set to 70. Michelin just doesn't want us thinking we're OK with an overloaded corner just because the axle weight is OK.
