Am I Crazy for Thinking of Stepping Back 9 Years?

We just purchased a 9 yr. old (now 10 yr. old) motorhome in October. After all the proper inspections, including a complete oil and coolant analysis on the engine and genset, an independent mechanical survey, and an RV survey, we were ready to buy. As jplante4 mentioned, you can plan for a few little thing to need some attention, but that comes with the territory.

You may also benefit by purchasing an engine that may not be encumbered with as much emissions equipment as the newer ones.
