Just remember that most LEOs have a tape measure in their cruiser tool kit. An acquaintance of mine always had his short ruler (for ride height violations) and his copy of the CA Motor Vehicle Code. If he stopped someone who had a bit of a hotrod and a bit of an attitude, you can figure out the rest. Out came his tool kit and he would start writing. As he went he would flip to the appropriate page in his book and show the "victim" the law he or she had violated and then he would continue writing. More than one car was impounded during his career. Whether you have a problem with any LEO depends entirely on your attitude and his or her mood at the time of the stop. If you are legal these type of incidents do not have a chance to occur.
