Still looking around for the diesel pusher that will meet most of our desires and needs. Looked at a nice clean 03 41' Dynasty Monday with 30K miles and would like to know if any here have one of these? I know I was all Newmar before and still pretty much am but, these seem like quality coaches too.

Dean,Funny that you should mention it. I'm driving our Dynasty to consignment tomorrow in Nacogdoches, TX, at the 'Motor Homes of Texas'. I'll miss the ole girl as she had been a good one. Ours might be newer than you want but it has been maintained well. All records.I'm not sure how quick they will get it up on their site, but, you can look at it just for the fun of it.Personally, I do believe that the Monaco product had the best looking cabinets in their price range, real wood, very solid.Newmar products are good too. When you start looking at used units of any brand, you have to pay very careful attention to maintenance.Ours will need new awnings and toppers probably in the next two years and I put a new king RV mattress in the coach last week (who would sleep on a previously owned mattress?).Good luck on your search!MM.

In those years the Dynasty gave the most bang for the buck. Not sure it's a 41' as most were 40 or 42. The early 03 LR slide only goes out 24" while later 03's go 34". Probably a 350 HP while a 04 will be 400. May have two ACs and a 10K generator while a 04 will have three and a 12.5K. May only have two slides while a 04 will have 3-4 slides. May not have AquaHot or Girrard awning while most 04's will have. My point is there was a lot of changes between 03 and 04 in the Dynasty line. A early 03 should go for less than $70K.*I've owned mine for 10 years and see no reason why it will not go another 10-15. I like the solid handling of the RR10S chassis and I recently did 1900 miles in 48 hours as it's that easy to drive. I would look at the age of the tires and batteries although my engine batteries went 11 years and still tested good.

I would look at the age of the tires and batteries although my engine batteries went 11 years and still tested good.This coach does have the 24" slide in the living room which voids one of our wants (real hide a bed),it does have a 12,500 generator which purrs like a kitten, very little noise inside, not like the one in the 2000 Newmar I looked at last month. The seller says it has a 500 horse engine and the length he thought was 41' but I will need some more info. It has original tires at just 30K on the odometer, they will buy all new tires if I were to buy it. They had to replace the front piece that is in front of the generator and repaint the front end due to previous owner driving into a guard in front of the gas station islands. The outside is very clean and all seams looked good with no signs of needing re sealing. I looked the nada average up which is 134K and low resale value at I think 104K. They said they will be open to offers since he doesn't want it there through the winter. The owners son the the rv dealership bought it back I assuming from the bank with the front end damage and hope to make a little money, he never used it once. I dont see them going less than 100K and unfortunately thats going to be out of my price range without stretching ourselves too thin, and I cant do that at 57. The place I work for is uncertain all of a sudden, so I'll wait a little longer

Easy one fist... No Dynasty had 500 HP until around 2010 and I doubt it has the ISL 400 which most have starting in late 03. In 07 the ISL became a 425. The TVs would need replacing but at today's price for a LED TV, not a big item.I would follow CrankyApe as it has the best deals I've found and MN is not that far from IL and you get to see what they sold for. Not too long ago a nice 05 Monaco Exe sold for $90K.

When we were looking in early 2007, the 2008's were already in production. We looked at an Executive and, at the time, I couldn't see the $100,000 up charge for the larger HP engine vs, the 425 HP engine that the Dynasty had. And, it probably had auto shades and auto window awnings that are manual on the Dynasty. Being a 'greeny' at the time, I didn't notice all the real differences.

The 2003 model that you are looking at should be very nice. The mileage is a little low at only 3,000 miles a year. So, the coach has been sitting a lot. I wonder how many hours are on the genny?

You may have found a diamond, look closely.

Hey Mark glad you chose MOT and not that other place in TX to consign your coach. I think it will be in much better hands at MOT plus I believe they get a lot more people looking to spend bigger $$$ on quality coaches.

Mike Brez, I feel the same as MOT seems to be a top notch consignment dealer. The number UNO factor for me compared to PPL in Houston was that MOT keeps the units plugged in, air running, fridge on, etc. Also, the slides stay in until the unit is shown to a customer. So, if a storm were to pop up, no damage to the toppers.

I sold a couple coaches there and bought my current one there too. They are top notch and sell a bunch of coaches every month.

Yes, you are right Southpark, two 45 ft. floor-plan models offered the 500 hp engine called the Yorkshire IV and the Stafford IV. The Yorkshire had the bath and a half. It is amazing looking back now of how many floor-plans that were available in 2008 (10 floor plans). Oh, the good ole days!

I haven't heard any more from the dealership, I had planned to go back there again in a couple of weeks since my job had me going that way, but the work part changed. I need to give them a call so I can get the model number.

Someone had mentioned that it was sitting a lot since the mileage was at 30k, I guess that could mean rust underneath, specially if it was sitting on the gravel or dirt, I've seen what that can do first hand. I do not want rust, main reason why we go south to buy
