We are part of a RV group we are the youngest (other then kids) but others are under 55 - _Sea_Of_No_CareExplorerWe are 49 and 50 here. This is our second Class A. Bought our first one in 2009. Wife retired in August and I'm self employed and scaling my work WAY BACK to only a few summer projects while at home. We are over 2 months into a 7 month trip and having the time of our life. I Would agree that most class A owners are older but we haven't felt like we are out of place, as we don't stay in one place long enough anyway. Currently we don't belong to any travel clubs. Most of all the RVers we have come in contact with along the way have been great people with similar stories, regardless of their age or their style of travel. We're all just trying to build memories and enjoy the fruits of our hard work!! Safe travels to everyone, and have a great day!!
Dave - eadeal55ExplorerI'm 59, DW is 54, had the Bounder for ten years. Before that it was a 5th wheel, several TTs and Popups. I grew up around Kerr Lake in NC, camping since I was a toddler, Wife grew up in AZ's White Mountains...living in camper.
Our FMCA membership was free for 1st year with our Bounder, and before that year was up we had joined a club, and have been enjoying our club's company since them. Yes, most of our club members are older, but we do have some that are younger than us.
We both still work full time, plus manage several rental properties, and with 2 grown kids and 7 Grandkids, we do stay busy, but always seem to get away for our monthly club rally and the annual area rally. Holiday week-ends we spend with the Grandkids at some water park or amusement park.
When retirement comes in a few years, we'll probably get a newer MH to travel cross-country with, sell the big stick and bricks place and move back into one of our smaller rental houses that we left years ago when the kids were getting big. - kellygirl6767ExplorerWe are in our mid forties and just bought our first class A in December. We are now living full time in our RV. Are selling our stick home and going out west. Have our first work/kamp job lined up and will do that until we want to stop.
We got married in July of 2013 and don't yet know where we would like to settle in old age. We want to see the country while we are young enough to enjoy it the way we want. We just decided we didn't want to be one of those people who say "some day". Hoping to meet new people and enjoy our adventures. - PogoilExplorerBought our first RV. in our 20s, First DP. 4 years ago. 52 and 48 now.
When we started we were oddballs as none of our friends did the RV. thing. People always thought we had borrowed our parents RV. I think friends thought we were crazy. Great way to raise kids camping all over the west.
Pogoil. - ImNutsExplorer50 and 43. Owned our class A for seven years. Joined FMCA last year for the tire discount.
- BigInIssaquahExplorer42 years old now, bought our Thor 30.1 a year ago.
- JustinJohnsonExplorerI have owned a Class A Rv from RV dealers before one & half year , but I don't belong to any club.
- discovery4usExplorerI was 36 when we bought our 12 year old DP. I find age of class A owners is relevant to where we are. When we pull into a higher end campground I know I will be amongst the youngest. When we pull out into the desert to go riding I know I will be asking myself "what the heck does that young man do for a living to afford that coach and those toys at 25 years old"
