Ditto. I assume you haven't seen the unit yet, but think about it...even if was was stored indoors and used very infrequently, what's the best possible condition for a 40-yr old RV?

That includes engine, transmission, suspension, body, brakes, and all suspension steering and tires. If nothing is needed, then proceed to the house components and pay big attention to the roof which could have leaks and mold. If it's in 100% condition it's worth maybe $7000. If it needs anything just subtract from that figure.
