- Drawer is now installed, with the 2 French Cleats holding the whole thing in place, and slides nicely in and out, just like it should.

- After drilling all of my holes last night for the drawer sides, I decided to wait until today to fasten them together.
After posting last night, I went to bed, and I thought to myself --- "You didn't just do what I think I did, did you"?
After a little thought, I realized I did do something, not the smartest thing I have ever done.
Results below.
These are the ends that get screwed in the drawer. It dawned on me that I had indeed drilled holes in the top of the drawer ends, where no screws will be installed.
Duh! Lol.
The redeeming factor is that the one in the front end of the drawer will be covered by a finish plate. The one in the rear will only ever be seen if the drawer is completely removed.
As a result, I am not going to do anything about these extra holes. - Both of the cleats that get fastened to the drawer side, I rounded the corners a little bit. I didn't want them sharp, so a little sanding was in order.

- This is my first test run of the double French Cleat drawer slides. At this point, the drawer side and cleats are not glued together, as I wanted to make sure this would slide properly.

- Here's a blast from the past. Last time we visited this, was sometime last August, I think.
This is a piece of copper tubing with a few coats of clear Por 15 applied.
As you can see, it is still nice and shiny, as no moisture has gotten through the finish. This is about a year or so, maybe a little more/less and I am happy with how this is holding up, without tarnishing, like copper usually does.
It's been laying in the motor home, so I think this will work for some upcoming projects.
- Now, what I need to do, is add the rest of the drawer sides, and bottom, and we should have a functioning, sliding, drawer, supported only on the one side.

- We, of course, cannot forget the back side of the cleat/drawer side.

- Here is the beginning of a test fit for the side of the drawer which will be attached to both of the French Cleats.

- How about this? This should make things just a little bit clearer.
This is a double French Cleat. As long as both of them are parallel, they should slide in and out smoothly.
- Without any explanation - this doesn't make a huge amount of sense, does it? Lol...
