I was in line for a toll bridge and a sign ahead said Wide Vehicles Use Right lane. Being in a widebody I signalled right. We were barely moving but car after car ignored my signal. Finally there was a little gap and I pulled right as fast as I could. Youd think the guy I pulled in front of got run over with all the honking and middle finger salutes. He must have been watching my signals for at least 5 minutes but apparently coaches have no right to change lanes even when traffic signs instruct them to.
I like the sticker I saw on a semi: "My signal is not a request for your permission, its just a warning for your safety"
