- JanssExplorer III was very disappointed with the clam chowder at Mo's in Cannon Beach. Loved the Bowpicker though!!
A few of my favorites places to visit are Hug Point, Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area, and Cape Perpetua.
All the State Park campgrounds are nice. But get there early if you don't have reservations. There are many private RV parks along the way also. - downtheroadExplorerMo's clam chowder in Cannon Beach
Bowpicker for fish and chips in Astoria on the Columbia. - mockturtleExplorer IIFort Stevens State Park, near Astoria, is a very nice, very large park--and popular. There are several other state parks in the stretch between Astoria and Florence. All very busy through September. A few Siuslaw NF campgrounds, as well, along 101. Just check in early in the day.
- ArchHoaglandExplorerThe Lewis and Clark National Park near Astoria is neat with a mock up of Ft Clatsop if your are into history.
Tillamook cheese factory is fun, good cheese and ice cream.
Sea lions cave just north of Florence is nice also.
Where are you going to stay in Florence...we were just there two weeks ago. You may want to have reservations as the sand dunes are near and the town is packed this time of the year.
Chen's Chinese food in Florence is the BEST! I eat there everytime we go to Florence.
