I do agree that if there is a battery breakthrough, electric would be very promising for RV's and heavy trucks. There certainly electric motors up to the task, but powering them is a big hurdle.
Okay, well actually I didn't change just to save gas - the Honda was due for retirement anyway, and I decided to upgrade to a nicer car.
The price has come down considerably since it was introduced. $34k before tax credits in the US. I paid $29k here.
I can't imagine ever buying a car without a plug again. Trucks, yes, at least for the next decade or so.
