Atlanta, Ga

I am planning on going thru Atlanta Sunday morning on 75 north. Does anyone know if that is backed up with abandon cars from the snow storm

  • DH and I were in Atlanta last weekend, before all the mess, and the Interstates there were lightly traveled most of the time during the day. I 20, I 75, I 85 and I 285 were easy to navigate with no one doing less than the speed limit, and most well over it! Temps are supposed to moderate beginning Friday and I have seen news reports with cars moving well already on the major roads. Safe travels!
  • I would expect it to be cleared up by them. Weekend temps are guessed to be above freezing so they should have it cleared up but Atlanta can be bad anytime. It's a big city on par with Chicago, Philadelphia or St Louis.
  • CNN just said that more than 2000 cars are still abandoned in Atlantic. Today, the officials are suppose to be assisting citizens in finding their abandoned cars, and in the live report they said there is still ice on the roadways, but it is starting to melt.
  • At 9:45 EST time on 1/30/14 per NBC - YES
