Atwood 6 gal gas water heater problems?

In my 95 Damon 'Intruder'. I've replaced thermostat, ECO, ignition probe, and the thermal diode(?). Took board off and had an RV dealer 'test' it....don't know what he did, but said it was O.K. Starts most of the time, runs a few minutes and shuts off. If I pull the board plug on the outside and plug in it will generally start and run a few minutes. What does the red switch light mean....that it's gone into lockout mode? Water never really gets hot.
  • Could be a component in the board that fails after it heats up after a few minutes of being on. Have occasionally checked boards that that test "OK" but still will not work properly once reinstalled.
  • RED light on ON/OFF Panel is a 'fault' light..........didn't fire off on gas, ECO tripped on gas (or electric if combo unit)

"Starts most of the time, runs a few minutes and shuts off."
This indicates.........dirty/bad contacts at connector on board, dirty/loose ground connections, loose/faulty connections at terminals on t-stat/ECO/gas valve, spark electrode position (needs to be engulfed in flame), dirty/bad connection at board for spark high tension wire.

12V DC can indicate good voltage but it doesn't take much resistance to stop 12V DC current.
