Atwood furnace problems( Easy Fix)

I have recently replaced the motor in my front furnace and the plastic fan rubs on the shield when it runs. I have had it out and back in numerous times to see of the motor or fan should go further in but it always seems to wind up with the fan right at the end of the shield. Is that right or should it go in further so the fan clears the outside edge of the shield? Any thoughts?

For those of you who looked at my post and did not reply, that's okay because the answer was so simple I'm almost ashamed to post it. Oh well, the problem was the fan stuck out too far so it rubbed against the shield. answer, Turn the fan 180 and put it back on. Now it goes on far enough to give clearance. If I had paid attention when I took it apart two weeks ago, I would not have spent three days trying to figure what was wrong. Go figure.
