Atwood hot water won't work on electric

I have changed the thermostat on my atwood model GC6AA-10E hot water tank and still do not have hot water. It works fine on propane. What do we check next?

  • Easy to change, maybe not. In my MH the element goes in the back of my Atwood. It is in an enclosed metal box, with no access from inside, without cutting metal box. Element was against the metal box. Had to remove the water heater to get the element out.
  • Yea, I'd go with the element also. Unless there is a 2nd thermostat for electric.
  • I think you can buy the replacement at HD or Lowes for under $20...
Easy to swap, just make sure it's OFFFFFFF ;)
