Average gas mileage on C class
We now have a 32' fifth wheel. We get 10 miles pulling. Thinking of downsizing to C class (about 30'). Hoping to get at least 10 miles to gallon. Have any suggestions?

- 8 to 9 as long as I don't go over 62 mph. 6 if I go 70 mph.
I have a 32' Class C on a Ford E450 chassis. - Unless you go with a diesel you will get about 7-9 mpg.
Mine gets 9.2-9.75 mpg but it is on a Chevy Chassis,Fords get a bit less. - I get 8.5 to 9.0 with my 29' without a toad.

Real world figure 7 to 9 mpg. If you get a diesel powered C. You will get better mpg. - We get 10 to 10.5 in our 23 ft. Class C on the Ford E450 chassis.
- We get anywhere from 7 to 9 with our 31' C depending on the road conditions and whether we are towing or not. Lots of up hill it might drop to 6.5 even. We cruise at 62-63 trying to maximize mileage.
Dave - The newer class c diesels get better mpg. We get 17-19 in our Thor Siesta but that is without a toad.
