Awning Gear Maintenance
I can find all kinds of articles regarding the maintenance of the fabric or vinyl part of the awning but what about the extension/retraction gear.
We have a 07 HR Ambassador with 4 slides. The main patio awning is semi-automatic. It opens by push button but does not automatically close when the wind comes up. We have to push the button to retract it.
When we put it out and retract it the gear makes a lot of noise. Squeeks and groans. My husband says that we don't need to do anything to it but I've always been one to believe that if it is making noise it needs some lubrication or something.
Any suggestions?
