Awning sun shade
We have spent a week at the beach and DW wants one of those mesh sun shades that we see attached to the rollers of many patio awnings. So, my first question is are they more trouble than they are...

Ours is in 2 pieces. One piece is about 1 foot and is attached to the awning in the groove you talk about. And it does roll up with the awning. At the bottom of it are eyelets that the second piece attaches to and then drapes down.
A lot of the time the 1 foot piece provides enough extra shade that we don't need the bottom part. But when we do use it I turn off the auto retract and pay attention to the wind and NEVER leave with it all set up.
What brand of shade do you have ? Is it the Shade Pro ? I've been looking at their website .. seems like a good idea.
