B trade in/sell outright value

Thinking about getting rid of our Sportsmobile and want to find its value. Where is best place to get a price? I don't want to let it go for too little, nor do I want to ask too much and not have it move. Or might trade it in on our newer RV, but don't have a lot faith in RV dealer's facts.
With Sportsmobile being a converter rather than a manufacturer it's hard to find anything close to compare prices. Appreciate any and all help/ideas.
  • Here is the Sportsmobile Texas web site. They have all the information and can even sell it for you.

  • Your particulars may vary completely from ours but we were very happy with the dealer trade-in. We had a 2006 LTV Sprinter van with about 70,000 on it. Loved it, needed a bigger RV.

Made a half-hearted effort to sell it ourselves but only one test drive, no firm offer at the "going asking rate" which I had determined by looking around online, maybe too high...

The dealer gave us almost our desired selling price on the van in trade when we bought a low mileage used 2013 RV in February. He sells new LTVs, so that may have been a factor.

It was great to skip over all the hassles of showing the RV, paperwork, money transfer, tags, and so on.
  • I do a Google search of similar items for sale. Even if it's in another state or the other side of the country. It gives you a general idea of the asking price.

And, yes, I know snow skis will probably bring a better price in Vermont than in Key West.
  • The Expo site often has Sportsmobiles for sale.

I've also seen them on Craigslist and RVTrader, but the Expo site is probably your best bet. go through the older listings there, also.
