Just purchased 2016 Allegro Bay V10 gas. RV has been sitting for a long time, very low mileage. Check engine light on, took it to a Ford dealer and they said it was a misfire on two cylinders, blamed...
I would get a second opinion from a reputable mechanic with a good scan tool. First of all I would think a misfire from bad gas would be random, not just 2 cylinders. Second of all I have never heard of a burn test for bad gas. If the gas is very old it will smell like lacquer. They should be able to drain any bad fuel with a siphon which shouldn't cost anywhere near a $1k.
