Bakersfield ca. to Phoenix
Early June we will need to go from Bakersfield to Phoenix. I would like to avoid LA. any suggestions?

As Janss suggested, we used 58 to Barstow, then 40 to AZ-95. That took us through Lake Havasu City to Quartzsite and I-10. It's only a few miles longer than going through LA, but not near as stressful.
