Balance rear tires on class A?

I am getting ready to replace the tires on my class A pusher. When quoting the price for installation, the dealer seemed surprised that I wanted the rear duals balanced. So now I'm wondering how much difference it will make. Any one with experience both ways?
  • They all spin so they all should have some form of balance (IMO). My first rig (97 Winne Vectra - gasser) used weights on all 6 tires. My current rig (DP) originally had powder and when I replaced the tires they recommended beads, claiming that powder will clump should moisture get into the tire. All the methods have worked for worked well for me over several years.

  • They put Equal in the last set of tires I bought (truck shop). They're supposed to put special valve stems in that have a screen to prevent the Equal (basically sand) from clogging the valves. Next time I'll do beads. A couple of times over the winter I deflated a tire by checking the pressure and the vale got stuck.
  • I have a 96 Southwind. I've never balanced the duals or tag tires. Just the steer tires. No problems.

Maybe a pusher is different, I don't know?

When I said I balanced the steer tires, I mean beads. They did a good job.
  • I would throw a handful of balancing beads and not worry about it.
