You are right. My son is a master mechanic at a local Ford shop, and he does
all the work at my 2001 F53 . I have close to 70k miles on it and still have the original rotors in it. The calipers are still the same, too, he only changed the pads once!
If anything goes, it is the shocks, I am just getting a new set installed.
