Going this way costs a total of $1.75 for tolls up to the mass pike (I 90) plus you miss all that heavy traffic around Wilmington, Philadelphia , all of NJ and NYC, unless that's part of the experience that your looking for. - tomgagneExplorer95 to New Jersey pike, exit 11 garden state parkway, 287 across tapanzee bridge to 95 north, 195 in providence to 495/25 over the Bourne bridge. Enjoy your stay. Bourne scenic is a campground right on the cc canal.

- gboppExplorerWe always take I-81 & I-84 to New England.
- univmdExplorerWe RV to NYC regularly and mostly use 95. The best thing to do is to get on Google Maps before you leave, it will tell you which route is fastest at that exact departure time, with live traffic data. Most of the time, 95 is the fastest, even with heavy traffic.
- CG_DawsonExplorerDitto I81 & I84.

There is a local rule for weekend travel in the summer BEFORE OR AFTER 9. That is get to the bridge before 9 AM or after 9 PM. The traffic can be very bad!
