see that is where i differ
Microwave is a very big draw, an i would not do that, while the PC is processing video.. start the generator instead
besides from the description, your PC's could have a 600w power supply, which means you would need a 3000w inverter in order to add the MW to load while PC's were on
i have one 300w PSW inverter for the laptop and 32"TV, DVD, media player, PVR 4 external USB drives, residential 120v fans ..etc
and one 1250w tripp-lite powerverter for the fridge, which I occasionally use for the coffee maker etc..
normally for coffee or MW i use the generator
talk to Randy at best converter for a high amperage 100amp or more converter
and a matching stand alone inverter 1500w continuous or larger
the converter can supply the Dc power that will keep the inverter and PC's going
they will only be on battery, IF 120vac power drops outs
since the inverter is NOT time limited, you should make sure you have enough battery power to finish the project..or be sure you do a manual save data and shut down
there is NO battery backup UPS shut down control software, when using inverter VS UPS
I was kind of looking in the 3000 watt range anyway. Hoping to not do any proprietary wiring (just the standard recommended installs) for the inverter and converter, and if the 110 outlets would be wired to the inverters output all the time, it sounds like it would take care of all my concerns (as long as I'm careful with the microwave!).
