SO when you BREAK the connection As Marvin desires one can get an Earth Shattering KA-BOOM (Well at least from your point of view)
You can make that last connection to any UNPAINTED part of the engine OR Frame. The engine block is electrically bonded to the frame..
Just for clarification, I am only talking about putting a trickle charger on to slow charge and maintain the battery. I do leave the charger unplugged until I have the cables attached. And I unplug the charger before I remove the cables. And the problem is that the opening to the engine is high and small, making it difficult to see/reach anything.
