Battery charger on chassis batteries permanently!

I've had the charger of a Prosine inverter hooked through a Hellroaring combiner/isolator on the house and chassis batteries for 5 or 6 years. It works great, charges off shore power, the generator, or alternator. As long as it's a regulated charger and will automatically kick back on when the battery voltage drops it's the best way to keep the batteries in good shape.
