Have a Lance 2016 995 TC. Wanting to add a stand alone battery charger. It came with 2 group 24 batteries which I may change to group 27's when the time comes. I know that the converter is not the best for fast charging. I don't want to run the on board generator long enough to charge the batteries. I have a Honda 1000 generator that I will bring along for the purpose of charging the boat batteries along with the camper batteries when needed. I want a good charger that will help the batteries last. I do have solar and am not wanting to add any more. No problem carrying the Honda or gas. If needed I also have a Honda 2000, Any thoughts. Any other place I should post this question thanks

Seems redundit to drag around another generator and charger. Your 2016 Lance probably has a decent converter and generator. I'm no expert but a real fast charge may not be the best for battery life. I'm sure others will chime in.

Schumacher is well know in chargers. I have 2 of theirs computerized chargers and 25amp charge is really good. The other is also 75 amp starting booster and is loud, so test the noise before buying.But before crossing off your camper converter, check what exactly it is. For 2016 I would expect decent one. The 40 amp converter in my 2004 camper will not support jacks, while 30 amp truck wire will, but I monitor voltage during charging and even it goes too high on long storage, I does decent job on standard recharging.

This is my initial gut feeling too. Especially since there already is some solar present.
