Around 1996 I think the wiring for disconnects changed to allow the start position to close the disconnects. This may have also been the time when the converter charged the chassis battery. This is just experience, as you can spend days trying to trace the wiring semantics and actual wiring. There seems to be changes that were made on the floor, that did not get documented, but were necessary for production reasons.
