Bedroom Slide 2006 HR Ambasador

Went to put out the curb side rear slide today, the motor runs, but the slide wouldn’t go out. Does anyone know how to gain access to the drive train for this slide. Any info would be appreciated, there snow on the ground and it's cold. Don't want to spend a lot of time under the coach if I don't have to.

We had a Dolphin before this and a 1/4 X 20 Bolt used to break on a fairly regular basis, got pretty good at changing it, but have no clue as to what to look for on the HR.

  • Thanks for the quick response.

Old Biscuit, I saw the link you were taking about, it is the wrong side, but thanks for the response.

kdk, I think you hit it on the head, I picked up the bed, a took a look. Don't have time to take anything apart now but I'll give it a shot in a few days.

Thanks again to the both of you for your help.
  • The previous post referring to slide repair is for the wrong slide, OP is talking about the curb side. Raise the bed and remove the plywood panel closest to the head of the bed. Under there you will find the motor and gear box. Remove and disassemble the gear box and you will probably find broken shear pin (roll pin) that is what broke on mine. Bought a new one at Lowes, cut it to length and installed. Whole project took about 3 hours. PM me if you like.
