Nope, forgot I relocated Xm antenna to see if it will prevent the drops I have had lately going across the desert. This list doesn't include the projects I want to do.

Here is what I found out after removing the bed and exposing the mechanism. The main drive shaft is connected to the motor through a transfer case. The end of the shaft has a

drive pin through it, no nut.Using a 5/8 8 point socket I was able to get an electric impact on it but it would not move. Inspecting what is normally inside the coach all the slides were

lubed and clean, the main nut that the drive screw goes through was gummed up. I removed another access panel to be able to see the entire screw assembly and that is where the

problem was. Part of the slides ,once the slide is in the out position, is exposed to the weather. The lube turned to a gummy paste and jammed the slide. A good cleaning and using

a different lubricant I got the slide to work properly. The next time the slide is out I am going to inspect and clean as necessary. Amazing how a little dust and dirt can change your

day.

Well if the motor is kaput replacing it should solve your woes.. However it sounds like you may have two problems if it is binding up. Is there any water damage/warpage - Why is it binding?

If you can get the slide in and secure I would take it to a shop and have them look the system over.

On our slide (not a class C) at the end of the drive motor is the hex head of the motor shaft. It uses about an 11/16" or 3/4" socket with a 1/2" drive ratchet to operate it manually. No special tool. You might look at your motor so see if has the same head on the end of the motor.
