I'm sorry but I have to say that your comment is at best naive and at worst irresponsibly stupid. No LEO is either judge jury or executioner. They may have to make a split second decision to use deadly force in a situation that they honestly perceive as a deadly threat to themselves or others. They are human and sometimes make mistakes. I once saw a LEO shoot another by mistake. The one shot was in plain clothes and had a gun in his hand. Accident, tragic but still an accident. I could show you pictures of real guns painted to look like a toy. And more pics of toys that look exactly like they were real. I played with guns as a child also but two things, one, toys looked like toys, guns looked like guns. Two, it was a much different world where cops were respected and looked up to. Now because of lies and sensationalized TV and some awful mistakes and slanted reporting, police are vilified by the public. We are always on out toes now. You have to watch every car that pulls up alongside you. You have to scope out the local diner before you go in and watch every customer that enters for fear of an ambush. You go out of your house in the morning looking for strange cars in the neighborhood. You watch to see if anyone follows you home. someone videos every move you make and every word you say and the only part you see on TV is the one mistake you made or the one thing that looked bad without any of the information that led you to that point that vindicates you. Now tell me why a cop shoots when they see a realistic gun pointed at them. Rant over, sorry folks but I couldn't let it pass. I've seen friends gunned down trying to help other people.
