I agree that making toy guns look like real ones was a terrible idea.
Dang, I just realised I own an airsoft pistol. Can you even GET those that don't look like real guns, plus the orange tip?
That Tamir Rice video looked to me like it was in the middle of the afternoon, and he was a little kid. Did not look anywhere near 20. There were no humans around for him to point the gun at. Maybe someone is thinking of another shooting video?
You have the facts all wrong. If there were no humans, who called the police and told them there was a guy in the park pointing a gun at people? That was why the police went to the park. Right after the shooting (within seconds) one of the officers got on the radio to report the shooting and stated the person shot was a "20 year old male." So what the officers saw was what they thought was a 20 year old male with a real gun who was pointing it at people. It is very tragic that a 12 year old boy died, but it isn't like they were judge, jury, and executioner as you claim. Did they make a mistake? I don't know, I wasn't there. It appears to me that their tactics were bad as they shouldn't have simply driven up next to him like that, but there may be a reason for that too. Maybe they didn't see him until they were next to him. I don't know.
Please start your own post if you wish to continue that conversation. It does nothing more than drift the thread. This has nothing to do with the reason of this post.
Mods if you feel you need to close this I'm fine with it. I'm comfortable all ligitamate answers to my inquiry have been discussed.
