Best Big Rig Campground near Glacier National Park?

I'm tired of researching... I have a 42ft motorhome.

Thanks in advance :)

  • Mountain Meadow RV Park. About 9 miles to park entrance. We were there a couple of years ago. Very clean and quiet. HERE
  • From the National Park St Marys campground website.

"*3 sites can accommodate up to a 40 feet, 22 sites can accommodate up to 35 feet"

    Glacier National Park Montana
    Glacier National Park of Canada

    which one?
  • Is there a length limit at the National Park St Marys campground? I seem to recall a lot of the sites were pull-through, shaped like a curve, off central loop roads. It's not an RV park, there were no hook ups of any kind, at least not in 2013. There were "wooded" sites, and also some out in the open sites.

They gave a few very short generator-run windows, most folks obeyed.
  • We stayed at the KOA in St. Mary's on the east side of Glacier last year. Nice park. My wife had an encounter with a bear near the KOA. It's recounted in our blog flyingthekoop.com.
  • On the west side, there is a great KOA. Plenty of room for big rigs, plus there are tour buses leaving directly from the campground.
  • If on the East side, there is a nice KOA in St. Marys.
