I agree, like some say "They just don't build em like the used to". My 2012 Nexus is now officially 6 years old, 4 of them and 40,000+ trouble free miles on my watch. Every trip I appreciate what I have more and more.
As noted the key is knowing, using and maintaining every system in the coach. I often run the generator, AC, all of the appliances etc. not because I happen to need them at the moment but simply to exercise them thoroughly. I learned the "use it or lose it" mindset during 40 years of boating and it has served me well in all of my RV's.
I'm not so sure about the wisdom of a lot of the junk that gets loaded on to some of the newer models.... 2, 3 even 4 TV's in a motorhome? Seriously??? Don't get me started on slide{s}, outdoor entertainment centers and kitchens but there I go again being a grumpy old Captain. :B
