If you live in NC how do you get a PennFed card?
You can apply online. Pentagon Federal Credit Union
If you do not have any military affiliation now, or in the past, then you can join the National Military Family Association and that is sufficient.
I am checking into their card now. Do you use a plat rewards or plat cash back? I am thinking the plat cash back. I see there is no annual fee. Do you recall any hidden fees once you started using the card. If I join the National Military Family Association for $15 I can get the card?
I prefer the cash back Visa card. The rebate is automatically deducted from your monthly balance and there are no hidden fees. To qualify for the maximum 5% fuel rebate, stick $25 or so in a Money Market account. You only need to join NMFA for the first year to qualify for PenFed membership. After that you're an existing member and don't need to renew with NMFA.
