Time to renewal my MH Insurance. Seems to go up every year yet the MH goes down in resale value. We have it insured for agreed value vs. book value in a total loss. We currently have zero deductibles with no claims for the past 5 years so this is also a factor to be considered.I know if we switch to another company they probably will not use agreed value and we will lose or zero deductibles if we have a claim.Any good recommendations? Who are you insured with and what has been your experience with them? Are your rates increasing yearly?

If you're not a full timer, you have many choices. National Interstate is our insurer and we are happy with their pricing and their service. (1 claim). You might give them a call and compare. Ours is full timer insurance though.As a question for you, though, why do you carry a zero deductible? I carry a $1000/ded, collision and a $100/comp. I have zero accidents so I don't see why I need to pay a high ded for that coverage. If you're accident prone then I could see a zero but it doesn't sound like you are so I would explore different deds and see what happens to your quotes....good luck...Dennis

As a question for you, though, why do you carry a zero deductible? I carry a $1000/ded, collision and a $100/comp. I have zero accidents so I don't see why I need to pay a high ded for that coverage. Been insured with Foremost Insurance Co. now for 18 years and have enjoyed excellent service from them. Hassle free claim service and no premium increases over the years.

A few years ago Farmers Insurance became their parent company. Highly recommend them.

We have Erie and our barn burned, they apid to rebuild it full price, Our equipment came under equipment and they cover it seperately and the RV comes under Vehicle insurance.

I think one must shop around about every 3 yrs to get the best prices. Last time we went with State Farm and it's always for all of our vehicles.

With our policy if you have no claims the deductible decreases 25% each year, after the 4th year your deductible is zero. After your first claim it goes back to 100% and starts over. Our current policy is with National Interstate.

Insurance rates vary substantially from state to state, city to city and person to person, so what one company’s rates are, how they change from year to year and, how well they process your claims can vary substantially. Several people on this forum have dropped Progressive because of increasing rates but I’ve been happily insured with Progressive for over 5 years with very little rate change.
I changed MH coverage from State Farm (still have them for my toad) to Progressive because of the difference in their road service coverage (State Farm’s is tailored for autos and Progressive’s is designed for RVs) for virtually no difference in premium.

You need to shop for RV insurance, compare coverage, rates and service in your area then make a decision.
