Best oil for 460 with 11k
Hi guys my 96 Bounder 34j F53 has the 460. The rig has 11k. What do you guys think the best oil is? I’m hearing Rotella for the zinc but it’s not in 5w30. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

- I use Walmart Syntec 10W30 in my 95 F53 460. Pulled engine at 120,000 miles to add a stroker crank. Cylinder walls, bearings, cam & lifters looked good for another 120,000 miles.
Richard - My 96 460 called for 10-30. Your in So-cal so that should fit the bill well unless you intend to go to very cold temps, in which case do the 5-30. Mobil synthetic good stuff.
- I used Mobil 1 High Mileage formula when we had a 460. It has a higher zinc level than the others. Only 11,000 miles on '96? That thing has sure been sitting around! ;)

Bill - Any oil that meets/exceeds mfgs recommendations and change it regularly
