I do essentially what luvlabs and rgatijinet1 said . except after I dump the black tank , I close valve and add 5 gal of water and a large capful of cheap laundry detergent. Then I drive to next campground . The 5 gal of water/detergent
sloshes around and dissolves any leftover solids. I leave that in till i'm ready to dump again. Obviously if the black tank is only 1/3 full there is no sense to dump, just drive to your next destination.
