Best vented washer dryer combo

I would love opinions on the washer dryer combos that you all have. The pros and cons etc. We're going to be purchasing one and would like some reviews before we do. Thanks!!
  • I am in year 7 of full time and my Splendide 2100XC has been flawless. I would not full time without it.
  • I am not sure that there is a lot of experience out here with W/D combos other than Splendide. The Spelendide is an excellent W/D but as mentioned above, buying one that is vented (not ventless) is mandatory for best operation and overall satisfaction.
Janet and I have used our since '99 and we have had a couple of breakdowns over the years. One call to the service center and they were able to diagnose the problem which in both cases we were able to fix ourselves. Excellent product with excellent support is very hard to find these days.
  • I have a Splendide 2100XC vented and wouldn't be without it. The only negative is, you can't do big loads like at home, and it hakes +/- 3 hours to do a load.

In 12 years with a Splendide 2100XC vented we have never used a laundromat except for rugs for two people as half timers. You learn to take everything out and fluff before drying after the warp-speed spin and to take the perm press out before completely dry and air dry on hangars. Occasionally we've done laundry while on the move if we are running the generator for AC... not often.
  • A number of years ago this sublject came up and many people like the combo that Sears sells.
  • I'm kind of anti-rv on several appliances, such as fridges and washer/dryers. In experience, household ones work much better. The trouble is, there are not a lot of choices at 120V.... If it was me I'd try very hard to get a propane dryer (if you can find one). Splendide is probably the brand you will end up with though. They work "okay". For us with our bunch of children we just stash piles of dirty clothes and visit a commercial washeteria and take 4 machines at once. :)

I DO like stacked vs. combo, unless space is a problem. VENTED would be a must.
