I've bought 2 and sold 1 RV on CL. All local. No requests to drive it anywhere. I don't use a phone number, just the CL filtered email link. The CL scams are well documented. If it smells fishy it probably is.
I chased one Sahara for 3 months. The guy was local, but claimed he worked weekends and wanted me to look at the RV after dark. I told him no and I'd wait until he had a weekend off. I called every week for 3 months and never got to see his camper. The Sahara I have now came on CL on Wednesday and I bought it the following Saturday.
The old P30 gasser I sold took a few months. It was a beach buggy and the market for these is all local and fairly small.
