Better way to stow 30 amp cord in small cubby hole

I have a cord tie that I tried to do that with, but the hole being so far up off the ground made it difficult to hold it together while trying to tie it up.

A long skinny extension cord reel might work, I swear I've seen them before but no luck so far in finding one.
