I have formed the cord into a circle then pinched the middle together with a zip tie or even tape to form a figure 8 kind of, it is easier to manage then.
I have a cord tie that I tried to do that with, but the hole being so far up off the ground made it difficult to hold it together while trying to tie it up.
A long skinny extension cord reel might work, I swear I've seen them before but no luck so far in finding one.
Try this, pull the whole cord out then put the plug end into the compartment first. , then begin wrapping the cord and inserting it into the compartment but it
will be doubled up. Make sense? We used to plug in heavy equipment with 75 foot cords and this worked for the ones with the smaller compartments, why,
IDK. Maybe an engineer could do the math...downside is the whole cord needs to be removed each time to get to the plug. I also leave my cords stretched
out in the sun to relieve some of the built in memory they seem to get and it softens the rubber a little.
