Having new BFGoodrich tires put on 2008 diesel Pheaton before we purchase it. Any negative problems with BFGoodrich? (We have always had Michelen tires.)
Is there really any real difference in tire chemistry and engineering?
I really don't think so and have yet to see any given specs. that address this.
After all, these multi million dollar companies can't afford to manufacture defective tires for whatever reason.
Remember the FIRESTONE scandal and even though it might not have been their fault. Not worth bankruptcy, at any rate and a lesson, that no company wants to see repeated.
So far, I'm a HERCULES guy and because of the price and being able to easily get the sizes, I've needed.
If companies and reputation are important, look them up. They are owned by COOPER and have been around for a very long time, without ill effects.
As for BF GOODRICH and again for whatever it's worth, my 03 F150 is on it's second set, as of 2011.
