BF Goodrich Tires

Our MH has tires that are nearing the end of their life. The OE tires are Goodyear G670's in a 255/70R-22.5 LRH. Out coach is a 2010 model that was actually built in 2009 on a freightliner chassis built in 2007. The tires aren't worn out by any means and look really good. They are just getting a little old.

Our local commercial tire dealer is recommending the BF Goodrich ST230 tire in the same size. They are telling me that they can get them to me for less than the FMCA Michelin tire discount price.

My question is, are any of you out there actually using them? What do you guys think about these tires?

Thanks,
Keith
  • I agree they are good tire. They were on our short list, and well respected and built tires. If the price is right, hard to go wrong with them. From when we did our research 2 1/2 years ago, Continental has also come out with a newer RV tire that is getting good reviews. (A bit early for the long haul, but also a manufacturer with a good rep, so no doubt they'll hold up.)

We had a credit from the owner when we bought our coach, so we went with Michelin XZE* in 12R size, very pleased so far - but dang Michelin was very proud of their tires, as reflected in the price:)!

Best of luck, have fun, be safe,
    Smitty
  • BF Goodrich is an excellent tire IMHO! I bought my Michelins thru the FMCA Program 235/80/22.5 and I paid $378.00 per tire. Good Luck to you!
  • We are using B F Goodrich ST230's Load Range H on our Class A. Over 45,000 miles on them and we like them much better than the Toyos that came on our rig. B F Goodrich is owned by Michelin and they are made in the USA! DH is a "tire guy" who used to work for Goodyear and he is happy with the B F Goodrich. They were recommended by Pat at Pro Tire in Denton Texas who has replaced many tires on Prevost and Country Coach. We would definitely buy them again.
