Howdy, any one have a black ice detector? I just had a 12 hr. ride in constant downpour , with temp hovering around 32 the entire time...It was a very nerve wracking ride......
My Dad was on the road for Many years, and I always heed what he said about Ice. When in possible freezing conditions, watch for snow blowing across the road. That is one for the first warnings you will get for black ice. As long as the show hits and sticks, its not frozen. When it hits and slides across, there is likely a layer if ice forming. So far, it has always proven true.
