Blackout and sun shades

I have a 2013 Thor Challenger 37gt Motorhome. On a recent trip, both the blackout and sun shades for the front windshield stopped fully extending and retracting for no apparent reason. Would appreciate any tips as to what may be causing this problem and possible solutions.
