Unless you have a CLEAN air compressor, I do not recommend blowing out water lines. Air composure tanks have rusty water, and oil in them from the compressing of the air. You will contaminate your potable water system.
Its no different that filling with anti-freeze run water/bleach thru to flush the system out. Ever single person I know that has an RV/TT/5th I have never in my life seen anyone pump their system with a clean air compressor. And heres the shocker NO ONE HAS DIED OR GOTTEN SICK!
But hey The choice is yours but I bet not one single person on this forum that blows their lines out does so with a Clean air compressor.
I buy a brass garden hose adapter X 1/2"IPT then a brass 1/2" X 1/4" threaded bushing and a 1/4" air chuck adapter. screw it all together and a $30-$50 air compressor (got mine at Tractor supply use it for bike tires also) and a hose set the regulator at +/- 30 psi and you are good to go.
Isn't the air coming out of a oil less compressor, as clean as the air going in???? I think so.
I repeat, if they sell oil free air compressors doesn't that seem to hint that there are some that are not oil free. IIRC I bought one. and no, air coming out of a non oil free compressor is not as clean as the air going in, that is why some uses specify oil free.
